Running Into Love

Cross country runners Krista and Greg woke up on their wedding morning to clear blue Colorado skies. Krista’s day started with a quick run, of course, to shake off some excitement and nerves. Then, she prepared to marry the man of her dreams.

We loved Krista, Greg and all of their friends and family. Their background as runners meant that many of their wedding party were track or cross country teammates who had already been with them through thick and thin.

After a quick morning run to shake out her nerves, Krista and Greg shared breakfast together before parting ways until their wedding ceremony. Krista joined her bridesmaids in Della Terra’s salon, and was greeted with a Starbucks Caramel Latte (her favorite) from her Maid of Honor! Greg headed to the theater to hang out with the groomsmen and relax before the big ceremony later that afternoon.

Krista’s bridesmaids were amazing! All eight of them were festive and in high spirits, blasting Ariana Grande in their monogrammed silk robes, and getting dolled up with their angelic friend and sister – Krista. When everyone was ready for the wedding, the ladies were radiant in their lilac bridesmaid gowns. Krista donned a sparkly, lace, strapless wedding gown with a sweetheart neckline. For something old, she wore her grandmother’s wedding ring. For something new, rose gold teardrop earrings. Her something borrowed was a sentimental family heirloom tucked into her bouquet, and she wore a blue garter to complete her traditional set of bridal accessories! Some of the coolest photos of the day were Krista and her bridesmaids each holding their cross country spikes, a symbol of the sport that brought them all together.

When Greg first saw Krista walking down the aisle to marry him, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. The pair opted for a sand unity ceremony to symbolize their marriage, and soon after were pronounced husband and wife!

At their reception, special details included their mountain-themed birch tree wedding cake, a s’mores bar, and an anniversary piñata for guests to write a message to the newlyweds for their first anniversary!

After dinner, Greg invited Krista to dance to “From This Moment On” by Shania Twain for their first dance as husband and wife. Then, the party started and everyone had a blast celebrating the newlyweds. At the end of the night, Krista and Greg were treated to a grand exit with glow sticks and lots of cheers of congratulations. We wished the night would never end! Congratulations Krista and Greg!
