My Sunshine on a Cloudy Day

Josh and Mariah have been smitten with one another since their first date. These two radiate their love for each another, and it was immeasurably evident through every minute of their wedding!

Mariah did not want it to rain on her wedding day. It was late July, and she dreamed of sunshine and summer weather for all of her guests. As fate would have it, it rained…and rained…and rained some more! Though this is never an “ideal” situation, at Della Terra we are always prepared for it. Many of our couples dream of outdoor ceremonies and wedding photography – rain, shine, wind or snow. We deployed the automatic covering over the outdoor stage, prepared every guest with umbrellas, and Mariah and Josh had the mountain wedding of their dreams!

We loved what Mariah had to say about her breathtaking, romantic, rainy wedding:

“I really did not want it to rain on our wedding day. The weird thing is I am overall so happy that it did. It created a memorable moment for all of our guests… I AM IN LOVE with how the umbrellas look. It created this whimsical, enchanting moment. If there is ever rain in your forecast on your wedding day, make sure you have clear umbrellas… they are gorgeous.”

We love that advice, and we are thrilled that Mariah loved her rainy wedding day. That being said, this sentimental celebration was not defined by the weather. There are so many great things to say about Mariah and Josh’s big day!

  • Josh’s daughters served as the flower girls, and were specially honored during the ceremony as Mariah and Josh joined in marriage.
  • The florals and greenery were out of this world AMAZING – Mariah’s dream of lush greenery was executed to perfection by florist Sugar N Stems.
  • Guests were treated to popsicles from Aiko Pops in Denver. With natural ingredients and flavors that included Pineapple Jalapeno, Strawberry Lavender, Mint Limeade, and Blueberry Cardamom… guests were in love with this non-traditional refreshing dessert option!

Mariah stunned in her two-piece wedding gown – a lace crop top paired with a cascading tulle skirt. For the reception she changed into a gorgeous and bold white lace maxi dress that allowed her the freedom to dance and party the night away! The groomsmen donned a simple, more causal look while the groom Josh and the bride’s father wore special gray suits to stand apart.

Congratulations Mariah and Josh! Your day was a perfect fairy tale with the happiest of endings. Best wishes to you, newlyweds!
