Alpine Romance

If there’s one word to describe Jessica and Jeff’s wedding, it’s ‘intentional’. Nearly every element was purpose-built to describe a unique line of their love story.

Jessica and Jeff spent every dating anniversary in Della Terra’s Alpine cabin. On their 5th anniversary, Jeff popped the question at Dream Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park. This made the wedding venue choice easy, these two knew they wanted to bring their friends and family here to celebrate their wedding.

The theme was rustic elegance, highlighting the beauty of the mountains with shades of dusty blue, sage, and white. Jessica’s mother was a floral designer, so she helped design the centerpieces, arrangements, and bouquets to capture the relaxed and romantic vibe that Jessica was looking for. All mountain centerpieces were also DIY by family in Oregon and Georgia, which were named after mountains that the couple had visited.

Jessica and Jeff opted for a first touch in the morning and a letter reading. Jessica, instead, did a first look with her father.

The ceremony kicked off with a theatrical performance by Ring Security (Jeff’s nephew), who spy-walked down the aisle to the Mission Impossible theme song, which got a great laugh. The officiant was a good friend of Jessica and Jeff, who added some humor to the ceremony. They incorporated two different unity ceremonies as well. The first was an aspen tree ceremony. The second was a beer blending, blending their favorite beer from New Belgium with Haas Local Wheat beer, brewed using the wheat produced by Jeff’s family in Sterling, CO. Afterwards, guests lined the path to the reception hall and showered the newlyweds with handmade confetti (heart hole-punched eucalyptus leaves, hand picked babys breath, and lavender).

Appetizers and dinner were beautifully presented by Relish Catering. The cake was made by Colorado Rose, exactly to Jessica’s specs, including a tardis light from Doctor Who (they’re big fans). As a treat, the couple baked all of the dessert cookies from scratch themselves.

These are just a few of the many curated elements of the wedding that perfectly expressed these two as a couple. The commitment to the many details was the manifestation of the excitement that they felt to get married.

Jessica and Jeff, congratulations and thank you so much for coming back to Della Terra to tie the knot!
