I’ve Had the Time of My Life

Between school and work, Caprice and Micah managed to find time to plan the wedding of their dreams. Every detail was handcrafted or thrifted, which added a personal touch to this classic DIY wedding.

As Micah and his groomsmen got dressed and enjoyed the theater, Caprice was finishing up her makeup and putting on her dress for the first touch. These two were giddy and filled with joy as they prayed during the first touch and almost couldn’t wait to see each other at the ceremony site.

The ceremony site decor featured a chiffon hung across the pergola, which was ornamented with floral displays crafted by Micah’s mother. Micah walked in as a string quartet played and waited excitedly for Caprice’s entrance. Caprice passed off her beautiful handmade bouquet to her maid of honor and joined hands with Micah in front of his uncle, who performed the ceremony. After the flower petal toss, the couple changed their wardrobe and explored the property for portraits while guests made their way to the cocktail hour.

In the reception space, camel linens were accented by faux white florals and greenery, a timeless color scheme. Wooden accents like the seating chart, table numbers, and the photo board, helped to further their wedding vision and create the slightly rustic vibe they were going for. As Caprice and Micah entered the room, they kicked the evening off with their first dance. Suit and Tie DJ (who was also Caprice’s theater teacher) played ‘I’ve Had The Time Of My Life’ as the couple launched into their well-choreographed first dance.

What a treat it was to host such a memorable wedding! Congrats, Caprice and Micah!
