Bringing Texas to Colorado

We just can’t help but swoon over Lisa and Jeremy’s perfect Spring destination wedding in the Rocky Mountains! This couple pulled out all the stops with splendid DIY decor, including perfect miniature terrariums that served as both table assignments and guest favors. Lisa and Jeremy hail from Texas, so they made sure that the entire wedding party wore their cowboy boots to watch them say “I Do”!

One of the most memorable parts of Lisa and Jeremy’s processional was the inclusion of their dogs Clara, Penny and Mater. Having this fun, furry trio participate in the ceremony was a MUST – given that Lisa and Jeremy first met one another at the dog park. Clara, Penny and Mater stole the show with custom floral leashes as they walked down the aisle and joined the wedding party on the stage!

This couple was truly surrounded with bountiful love from their family and friends.

Special details that we loved:

The First Look: Jeremy and Lisa chose to do a first look before their guests arrived and the hustle and bustle of the day began. This perfect pair met one another under the majestic backdrop of McGregor Mountain. It was a sentimental, private moment of celebration and anticipation. Despite having seen his bride earlier in the day, Jeremy’s face lit up with joy as Lisa made her way down the aisle during their ceremony.

The DIY Decor: Lisa really wanted to put a special touch on her decor, and took it upon herself to tackle several DIY projects. Her hard work paid off when guests laid eyes on the couple’s custom invitations (incorporating their fur-babies!), burlap runners, wood flower boxes, photo guestbook, and rustic wood frames and signage. Lisa’s goal was to bring a little bit of Texas to Colorado, and everything came together beautifully!

Not Your Average Escort Cards: One of the most complex DIY projects was the couple’s terrariums that served as both escort cards and guest favors. Inspired by a tutorial from Green Wedding Shoes, this incredibly unique idea was a beautiful way to incorporate nature into Lisa and Jeremy’s rustic mountain wedding theme. Guests were able to take the terrariums home as a keepsake of the beautiful celebration they had just been a part of.

It’s Not a Wedding Without Cowboy Boots: These two brought Texas style to their Colorado wedding by exchanging vows in their favorite cowboy boots! The entire wedding party followed suit, with all bridesmaids and groomsmen wearing their boots as well. We’d expect nothing less from this fun-loving duo!

We can’t say enough about how grateful we were to be part of such a heartfelt celebration! Thank you, Lisa and Jeremy, for choosing Della Terra to start your life together as husband and wife. We hope that you made memories to last a lifetime and wish you all the happiness in the world!
