Something Old, Something New, Something Horsey, Something Blue

We love the old adage, “Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue”, especially when it is pulled off at a wedding with whimsy and elegance.

Inspiration for Kelsey and Nate’s special day came from a set of blue antique vases from Kelsey’s mother. They used the vases as center pieces on the tables, accented with blush, peach, and sage bouquets.¬†For something old, Kelsey had her grandmother’s grandmother’s handkerchief sewn into the inside of her dress.

What we¬†really loved was how Kelsey and Nate were able to incorporate meaningful pieces of their lives into their special day. Family members played a role in the ceremony, and Kelsey’s connection with horses inspired her Maid-of-Honor to create beautiful horseshoe name holders for each table.

Other elements we loved:

  • Deep blue hues for the bridesmaids dresses, accented by the fun groomsmen’s socks
  • The gorgeous blue rhinestones in the bride’s garter
  • The rustic chic feel of the decor, flowers, and table settings all together
  • Nate’s beautiful and thoughtful gift to Kelsey before the ceremony: a gorgeous Tacori bracelet that matched the wedding bands.

Happy Anniversary, Nate & Kelsey! Here is to many more years to come!
