A Delicate Snowy Spring Wedding

Born and raised in Colorado, Elena and Cooper knew exactly what they wanted in their perfect wedding day. They had hoped for a simple, Colorado-style celebration, and a delicate Spring snow provided a beautiful and cozy backdrop for the wedding of their dreams!

Elena and Cooper had bravely picked late April for their Colorado mountain wedding. The Spring weather brought them a beautiful misty afternoon with a light snowfall that made for cozy, romantic vibes and the most dreamy wedding day photos you could ever imagine.

To keep guests warm and happy, Elena and Cooper chose to hold their ceremony indoors. They exchanged vows beneath the chateau’s elegant vaulted ceilings, while snow fell lightly outside the windows behind them. Guests were even treated to bit of wildlife when a few turkeys made an appearance outside of the windows during the ceremony!

Elena’s bridesmaids wore alternating blush, mint, and grey gowns, while the groom and groomsmen were dressed handsomely in steel grey suites. Elena and Cooper wanted an outdoorsy-style wedding, so they opted for decor that brought the mountains indoors! Aspen trunks felled from Elena’s parent’s house were cut to an inch and a half thickness and sanded to be used as centerpieces.  Moss and small river rocks were placed atop each aspen slice with a simple candle.

Some of our favorite moments from Elena and Cooper’s wedding were:

  • Elena’s father walked her down the aisle, and her mother (a pastor) married Elena and Cooper! Having Elena’s mother officiate over this important moment in their lives was truly special for them.
  • Cooper saw Elena for the first time during a private moment staged by their photographer inside the chateau. Moments after they saw one another for the first time on their wedding day, their photographer snapped some photos of them behind the lightly falling snow. These glowing, happy images are a natural representation of the joy that filled Elena and Cooper’s wedding day.
  • During the ceremony, a bagpiper played the processional music, adding a cultural and emotional feel to the entire wedding.

After a barbecue dinner, toasts, and cake cutting, the newlyweds danced the night away with their guests. Elena and Cooper, your wedding was a dream come true! Congratulations!
