April mountain weddings evoke such a classic image. Budding trees, birds chirping, and fog-capped mountains. Well, this Estes Park affair features all those lovely details, plus so much more, and all we can do is swoon. Swoon over the adorable couple, swoon over the beyond darling flowers, swoon over the subtle hint of baseball. Thanks to Lauren and Jeff and Aldabella Photography, we all get to swoon the whole day away here.
Bride Lauren grew up in Chicago and wanted her wedding above all to be a celebration with all of the wonderful friends and family who traveled so far to attend their destination wedding. Although the weather was a bit chilly, the effect of the fog topping the mountains made for a stunning backdrop to their ceremony.
BRIDE’S FAVORITE TOUCHES:
- Lauren and Jeff’s wedding was nothing if not an expression of family members who’ve shared in their lives. Lauren wore her sister-in-law’s wedding dress, her bouquet was wrapped in her mothers old handkerchief (which she had embroidered with their names and wedding date) and had Lauren’s great grandmother’s ring attached. Lauren’s brother wore her grandfather’s wedding band (he passed away about 4 years ago).
- As a nod to his days spent as a professional baseball player, Jeff wore baseball cuff links, and their ring-bearer carried a baseball that was carved out hollow to hold their wedding rings.
- Each of Lauren’s bridesmaids and the mothers received a different Alex & Ani bracelet to represent the unique qualities of their friendship.
- With lush garden roses and classic hydrangea, A Florae created romantic, pretty centerpieces and a show-stopper of a bouquet. Lauren’s bouquet was filled with soft blush and fluffy ivory, while her centerpieces carried that same theme alternating with blooming branches and endless inspiration.
Congrats to the adorable newlyweds and thanks so much for sharing your spectacular wedding day with us!
